The Rochdale Occupational Health Service Ltd (ROHS) was established in 1963. The aims and objectives were to provide occupational health services for workers in Rochdale and surrounding districts in the style of a co-operative - sharing health care services and facilities provided by nursing and medical staff, providing regular contact for the benefit of workers in a wide range of industries, at a reasonable cost to the employer.

Today, the same aims and objectives apply. ROHS has grown steadily and now, over 40 years later, has matured with a wealth of experience gained over those years. The present qualified professional staff work closely with client companies to provide occupational health and safety expertise, and their knowledge contributes to each company establishing safe working practices and a safe working environment for the company’s employees within the guidelines of numerous regulations and EU directives.

Harlow Occupational Health Services Ltd

Harlow Occupational Health Service Limited was set up in 1955 by the Nuffield Provincial Hospitals Trust to provide a medical service to the industry growing up in Harlow New Town. This pre-dated the existence of a District General Hospital in the area.

The first Health Centre was Edinburgh House opened 28th October 1958. This was replaced in the nineties by Stephen Taylor House opened on 26th February 1992 by the Lord Lieutenant of Essex Admiral Sir Andrew Lewis KCB, JP.

It was named after the eminent occupational physician Lord Stephen Taylor who had had a close association with the service. He had a vision of a small facility in every industrial town. The Association of Group Occupational Health Services grew out of this.

Park Royal Occupational Health Limited (Pro Health)

PRO Health has been in existence as a charity for almost fifty years and the aims have remained the same - the care and protection of the employees of the local subscriber firms.
